Few geographical sites in the world can be praised of such a variety of
landscapes that characterized the province of Siena.
In the north we find the incomparable richness of the Chianti between vines and olive-trees, sprinkle with castles and beautiful properties; in the western north, the hills accomodate the antiques walls of San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, and many adorable villages with narrow lanes where walking during the evening is enjoyable.
A multiplicity of panoramas are found in the south, punctuated of cypress and
during spring covered with poppies, with white roads, with charming valleys framed of poplar trees, hills where culminate the medieval boroughs of Montalcino fatherland of the famous wine Brunello, Montepulciano, those from “Vino Nobile”, Pienza, San Quirico, Bagno Vignoni.
Even more in the south, the Crete Senesi, stripped landscapes, places of meditations and peace.
In the east, the colours begin again, the landscapes become animated, and such as mirages, emerge some antiques abbeys and monasteries, some farms framed of cypress,surrounded of sunflower and olive-trees.
And all these wonders encircle Siena, city where each stone remained unchanged even after many centuries and where anyone can breathes the particular atmosphere of the respect of the traditions such as the 2 festivals of Palio.
Siena conceals also one of the most beautiful cathedrals of Christendom, many museums, tempting shops and exciting restaurants thrilling the Tuscan gastronomy.
